Wings Of Steel

Winds Of Time

2025 – High Roller Records

I will not add any other comments, regarding this band. You will find all you need to know about the supergroup on the net… or you can watch the interview.

I will tell you about the first time I listened to the “Winds Of Time” album.

I think I lost my voice. I was stunned! The title track was powerful, bombastic, with perfect riffs and the voice was amazing. It was like the best classic metal song got married to the most amazing and beautiful ballad and this song was their son. The ten something minutes did not bother me at all. I listened to it two more times before I played the “Saints and Sinners” song.

What has happened? Really now… these guys are from the past, no? How did they come up with all these old school riffs, melodies and feelings? Yes, I know… They have probably been raised listening to the classics; kudos to their parents, but this song is a classic diamond. You will find yourself wondering in the roads of the golden past.

Epic, powerful and melodic, the song “Crying” has the heart and the passion of the most loving ballad. The hard rock attitude, the voice that touches your soul is the key to success.

What’s next? “Burning Sands”! Full speed, full energy and the magical voice of Leo Unnermark ascended the highest mountain. Wow! Melodies are dropping out when “To Die In Holy War” song starts a new journey for you. Guitars are running up a marathon. The drums are steady and full power, combining bass epic arrangement to an energetic, strong melody that will blow you away.

I love “Lights Go Out”, cause it’s more intense with a spicy turn. It’s probably the song that the metal audience will love to hear on the shows. The riffs are magical. Tunned to make us headbanging all over. The voice is… Unbelievable!

When I first heard “We Rise”, my mind took over and said “This is Midnight and Crimson Glory”. No, this is Wings Of Steel and Leo Unnermark. This song is so classic, so powerful and breaths like Crimson Glory songs use to. Strong and full of melancholy, this one is my favorite song of the album and one of many reasons to say that this album is one of the best of the year.

The album closes his arms around us with “Flight Of The Eagle”. The sensitivity of this song is truly unique. The voice becomes your breath, the melody your journey, and throughout its eight-minute-plus voyage, you find yourself wishing it would never come to an end.

I want the L.P., I want the CD, I want all the merch, but most of all, I want to see this band live!
