Pitch Black Records is thrilled to welcome Greek hard rockers Tapeworm Electric to its artist roster!

Formed in Athens, Greece in 2018, Tapeworm Electric released their first EP of powerful, melodic heavy rock – Fire – the following year. With an instinctive understanding of song writing and a love and appreciation for the classic sounds of the genre, the band began to establish themselves in their home territory with a slew of electrifying live shows. Newly signed to Pitch Black Records they are now ready to unveil their first full length album, a collection of songs that will capture the hearts of fans around the world with its fantastic musicianship and innate connection to the soul of classic rock. Moonshine is here and Tapeworm Electric’s star is about to ascend.

The smokey blues, slide guitar introduction of ‘Interlude’ leads the listener straight into the title track of Moonshine with its tumbling riffs – and then the vocals of Argyro Igkilizian hit and you know you are in for a world class rock experience. Her voice has the strength, range, character and power of expression that is rare to find in any genre of music. And yet that incredible voice is just one element of what makes Tapeworm Electric such a captivating musical force of nature. Stunning guitar solos lift every song to another level, the rhythm section supply power, groove and magnificent dynamics… and the jewel in the Tapeworm Electric crown, the songs themselves. There’s the foot stomping heavy rock of ‘Already Left’, the gentle, late night groove of ‘Right Reasons’ sung by bassist George Kasapidis, the wonderful emotional connection of ‘Turn Into Black’, painted in melancholy shades of blue and the epic finish of ‘Hold On’, a simply immaculate piece of Zeppelin-esque rock. The Tapeworm Electric formula seems a simple one – great performances, great song writing – but achieving these spectacular results is far from simple; it’s the product of years of hard work, passion and belief. Natural talent is an essential ingredient of course, but without the work – the blood, sweat and tears – then talent flounders on the rocks and never truly sets sail. With Moonshine, Tapeworm Electric have set a course for the highest echelons of rock.
