We Will Always Be The Way We Were

2026 – Orchard

Imagine the noise of the world fading behind you. You walk along the beach on a warm summer night… the waves whispering in the darkness… With every breath, the salty sea breeze fills your lungs, carrying a sense of calmness, freedom, and endless possibility.

Jack Savoretti’s new album “We Will Always Be The Way We Were” will do that to you and more. It’s full of romantic atmosphere breathing to your neck. A sunny afternoon playing with the waves or taking your mind to happy places. The music is lyrical; Jack’s voice is like a gentle touch that embraces you.

“The Making Of You” is the first song you listen to on the album. The melancholic melody and the voice, with its gentle, sweet husky edge, immediately draws you in.

Next comes “Can Hurt Sometimes,” drowning you into the tender ache of memory. Yet the moment the opening notes of “We Will Always Be The Way We Were” fill the air, everything changes. You are transported to a place of pure happiness, where the stars burn bright above, hearts glow red with love, and you smile with the quiet wonder of someone who has just received life’s most perfect gift.

“Tick Tock” is overflowing with melancholy and emotion. Listening to it, you cannot help but feel that the lyrics are deeply personal. A sentiment that seems to run through the entire album. There is an intimacy in every line as if each song is a fragment of a story lived rather than simply written.

The duet with Steph Fraser on “Only Gonna Cry For You” feels like a breath of fresh air, bringing a new shade of emotion to the album. Then comes “Time Will Tell” a song that gently gathers the loving memories of your life and lays them before you like treasured photographs.

The delicate piano of “Do It For Love” and its cinematic atmosphere are simply captivating, creating one of the album’s most evocative moments. As the record unfolds, its emotional blend of groove, rock, and pop washes over you in warm colors, wrapping every melody in a sense of comfort, nostalgia, and heartfelt beauty.

One song that shines like a flawless diamond is “Anything But A Fool.” Honest, heartfelt, and utterly sincere, it captures the essence of the album’s emotional core, leaving a lasting impression long after the final note fades away.

Carrying the same romantic energy “Tempting Fate” glides effortlessly into “I Hear You Calling.” Its infectious energy and uplifting melody awaken a youthful excitement, making you want to dance with the carefree happiness of a teenage girl whose biggest dream has just come true.

On “Step By Step” the velvety, soaring vocals return in full force, creating moments that are genuinely spine-tingling.

“The One” feels like the closing song of a romantic film, the moment when the protagonist finally realizes that he has found the true love he has been searching for all along. There is a sense of freedom in that realization, a feeling of lightness and fulfillment. It is like watching flowers bloom and gently turn toward the sun, embracing the warmth that has finally arrived.

As the album comes to an end with “If I Get The Chance”, our eyes, minds and hearts are already set on September 25, 2026, at Lycabettus Theatre here in Athens. A date with a storyteller unlike any other, ready to take us on an unforgettable journey through music, emotion, and dreams.
